The Champions! 🎼
The games are coming thick and fast after the international break and we just had a round of fantastic Champions League matches and few upsets
Main focus : PSG 3-0 Real Madrid
Do you think this is one of Real Madrid’s worst performances you have seen? They failed to muster a single shot on target and conceded 3.
Thomas Tuchel got his tactics spot on last night and the team played so well together and destroyed Real!
Di Maria was on fire yesterday and scored 2 goals against his former team of Galacticos. The PSG team clicked going forward. Their passes were slick and they were able to cut through the defence like a knife cuts through butter! Maybe the first goal should have been stopped by Courtois but credit to Angel for scoring from such a tight angle. The second goal was a beauty of a shot from outside the box and it got the applause and approval even from Mbappe and Neymar sitting in the stands. ADM was the star performer the first half. Towards the end of the second half they scored another goal to add insult to injury with another slick team play.
Both Real Madrid and PSG had key players either injured or suspended.PSG missed the world class strike force of Mbappe, Neymar and Cavani while Real Madrid have their own injury crisis and they missed the likes of Isco, Ascensio, Modric, Marcelo. It looked like Real Madrid's players injured were important for the team than the injured or suspended players of Paris Saint Germain.
It could be argued that the two bright players in the Real Madrid team were James and Bale, the ones Zidane wanted out of the team. Madrid put up the strong attacking trio of Hazard,Benzema and Bale up front, but even they were not able to create good chances despite all their attempts and efforts. Bale managed to score a flick shot over the former goalie of Real Madrid but he touched the ball with his hand while he was controlling the ball and it was ruled out.

Dortmund vs Barcelona was a tight game which could have been won by Reus but he missed the penalty! Juventus spurned a 2-0 lead against the hosts Athletico who drew level, Olympiacos managed to get a draw against Spurs, Napoli were the first team to stop the champions Liverpool who were unbeaten this season and Chelsea lost at home to Valencia 1-0 despite probably being the better team in the first half and Man City won comfortably 3-0 against Shakhtar Donetsk.
We saw some good moments in the Athletico vs Juventus game. There was a superb run by Felix who nearly scored in the first half. Apart from that we saw one moment of magic from his Portuguese teammate Ronaldo which could have been a brilliant winner towards the end of the game but it was not meant to be. We witnessed a lovely dribble past defenders, a quick step over taking the ball away from the defender and a shot which missed the target!
