Diego Maradona: The Argentinian Legend

                        Diego Maradona

“Even if I played for a million years, I’d never come close to Maradona. Not that I’d want to anyway. He’s the greatest there’s ever been.” Lionel Messi

Diego Maradona, the man who is widely regarded as one of the best players to ever play the beautiful game passed away at the age of 60. Diego Maradona's Argentina side won the 1986 world cup winner and he also won Domestic and European Cups for Napoli.

Napoli are now planning to change the name of their stadium to Diego Armando Maradona San Paolo Stadium. Diego Maradona defeated Belgium in the semifinals of the world cup and there was so much of admiration for him that eventhough Belgium lost, immediately after the whistle, the goalkeeper ran to swap shirts with the Maradona. His ability to dribble with the ball, his work rate off the ball, his passing, his ball control, everything was world class. The world of football will miss the legend. RIP
