The Champions! 🎼 The games are coming thick and fast after the international break and we just had a round of fantastic Champions League matches and few upsets Main focus : PSG 3-0 Real Madrid Do you think this is one of Real Madrid’s worst performances you have seen? They failed to muster a single shot on target and conceded 3. Thomas Tuchel got his tactics spot on last night and the team played so well together and destroyed Real! Di Maria was on fire yesterday and scored 2 goals against his former team of Galacticos. The PSG team clicked going forward. Their passes were slick and they were able to cut through the defence like a knife cuts through butter! Maybe the first goal should have been stopped by Courtois but credit to Angel for scoring from such a tight angle. The second goal was a beauty of a shot from outside the box and it got the applause and approval even from Mbappe and Neymar sitting in the stands. ADM was the star performer the first half. Towards...

Norwich hosted and stunned Man City: We just witnessed one of the biggest upsets in the history of the Premier league! A match that reminded me of the masterclass by Jose Mourinho’s Italian champions Inter Milan against Barcelona! That one was over two legs and this one produced so much drama in just a solitary game of 90 minutes! Daniel Furke’s newly promoted side Norwich City defeated the domestic treble winners Man City 3-2. Man City dominated the game in terms of possession and chances created but Norwich C ity were more clinical! Whether it was on the counter attack or a set piece Norwich City were just spot on! The zonal marking of Man City failed in the corner and that led to a goal! Adding to the set piece mistake they made blunders at the back without Laporte and handed Pukki who was in that goalscoring form, yet another matchwinning goal! Man City huffed and puffed and scored 2 goals but it was not enough on the night. Norwich City should be applauded for high pr...

As the international break is upon us, it is perhaps a good time to reflect on the games played this season and look forward to what is yet to come in the exciting game of football. This time the focus will be on Manchester United. The glory days are over in MUFC Manchester United used to be the most valuable football club in the world. According to Brand Finance Football ’s annual report released on the 16th of May this year however, Manchester United is now behind Real Madrid. They are still one of the biggest brands on the planet, but the Manchester United era of dominance over the past two to three decades in English football has now been reduced to a fight for the 3rd and 4th spot in the premier league table or perhaps a Europa League spot where they finished last season.  Second fiddle is not something United fans are used to seeing. A team that was filled with serial winners, a team that the other clubs in the premier league were afraid of facing, a team that us...

GAMEWEEK 2: Post Match Analysis and Summary Gameweek 3 began with an unexpected defeat for Everton. A team which did not concede any goal this season conceded 2 goals. Looks like the FPL managers who have Pickford, Richarlison, Iwobi, Siggurdson, Walcott are not gonna get a good points return from these players and perhaps it is time to move on and look for other options. Liverpool dominated and defeated Arsenal, Crystal Palace stunned Man United who missed yet another penalty, Bournemouth lost to Man City and Newcastle defeated Spurs. But the focus will be on two of the exciting Gameweek 2 fixtures. Let us begin with perhaps the most awaited game of the week. MAN CITY VS TOTTENHAM (Held on Saturday, 17th August) This was surely the pick of the fixtures of Gameweek 2 and it definitely lived up to our expectations. Man City were just so dominant, they were on a different level than Tottenham. City were relentless in attack, desperate to win the ball back. Harry Kane was a sp...

1 September 2013 was a historic day when Real Madrid reached an agreement with Tottenham and signed Gareth Frank Bale on a world record transfer fee of £85.1 million. He was truly a Galactico signing! He was the star player of the North London Club and one of the best players in the premier league winning the PFA Players' Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards earlier that year. The winger who started off at left back was at the peak of his career, terrorising defences with his pace and venomous strikes. Moving to a new country, adapting to a different league, adjusting to a new culture and a new language is definitely a challenge and it is a time taking process for even the best of players. Bale’s first season in Real Madrid started off on a rather disappointing note as he suffered injury after injury.  Despite the unfortunate first half of the season, when he did get a chance to play he did not disappoint. He scored goals, provided assists and was surely a han...

Handball decisions in football have always been surrounded with controversies and multiple interpretations. With the introduction of Video Assistant Referee(VAR) throughout the major leagues in Europe and across the world, the discussion on which instance a handball should be given and on which instance a handball should not be given stands piqued.Read further for more regarding this.
